Must have worked long enough
- if over age 31, 5 out of 10 years
- if age 24 - 31, 2 ½ out of 5 yrs
-if under 24, 1 ½ yrs out of 3 yrs

Monthly check based upon your lifetime earnings 

Can be backdated 1 yr prior to application 

Five (5) month waiting period 

Minor children receive separate benefits checks 
- up to half of your check

No income & asset limits 

Medicare is automatic after 2 yrs of benefits
